[Parti-discuss] Question on xpra (potentially) crashing machine

If I run between 2 and 4 xpra sessions on one machine, simultaneously,
will there be any problems?
I was remote connecting into one of my machines, and had two sessions on
that machine. The machine now fell off my home lan (I am a few thousand
miles away to check exactly what happened). The reasons for multiple
connects is because if I had two apps running, I though the performance
was sluggish if I stuffed them through the same DISPLAY.
The same thing happened with a different machine and 4 sessions of xpra.
Incidentally, after the apps are initially started, I don't need to
attach to all the screens on my viewing end. So I disconnect the
"attach" -- the xpra sessions are needed so that the X apps have a place
to send the display so that they don't crash when my remote login
disconnects. They are running with a "nohup".
These are reasonably fast machines (dual core; 3-4gb ram, although not
the latest) -- don't think its hardware capacity related.
I'll need to ask somebody to go in and physically reboot these.
But I want to make sure not to repeat any mistakes for next time. Thats
the reason for
asking.
Thanks
Neela
